The Tribal Health Department takes the jiimaan out annually on a picnic and tour of Harbor Springs. This year it was so hot they had to stop for a swim at Harbor Point. July 15, 2006

Building the jiimaan took about 20 people and five months. I know there are a lot more pictures, these were all I had. We built this jiimaan in the Indian Hills Community Room. You should have seen it come out of the door. It was primed white and looked like a baby whale being born. We had to tear out the door jam. This was our first; we chose to make a cedar strip with West epoxy.
